Phil-losophy
Join me on my journey—from leading cybersecurity teams across Southeast Asia to pushing boundaries through endurance sports, every chapter of my life has been shaped by curiosity, resilience, and purpose. I’ve spent over two decades helping organizations strengthen their cyber-defense while empowering teams to think beyond technology.
My upcoming book, The APAC Sales Engineering Handbook, brings together the lessons, frameworks, and real-world experiences that shaped my path—from my early days in IT support to leading regional pre-sales teams across diverse cultures. It’s written to inspire the next generation of Sales Engineers and leaders to grow with intent, lead with empathy, and embrace both challenge and change.
Through technology, endurance, and storytelling, I continue to seek one thing—to create impact that lasts. That is my “Phil-losophy”

The Tech Guy – “Behind the Screens: My Tech Story“
I didn’t begin my career as a Sales Engineering Manager. In fact, I started with a marketing diploma. I found my way into IT through helpdesk support, system administration, and end-user support—before discovering my true calling in pre-sales and cybersecurity. The journey from troubleshooting computers to leading regional teams has been challenging, humbling, and deeply rewarding. If I had to do it all over again, I’d take the same path—only this time, with a few smart hacks to move faster.
The Purpose Driven Journey
I discovered my passion for triathlon in 2012, drawn to the sport as a way to build mental strength, balance, and focus beyond the demands of work and daily life. Since then, I have completed three full Ironman races and five Ironman 70.3 events across Australia, Malaysia, Taiwan, and the Philippines—each one a testament to perseverance and the pursuit of purpose. For me, endurance goes hand in hand with giving back; I put my training into fundraising for causes such as the Breast Cancer Foundation, Alzheimer’s Association Singapore, and Ride for Hope, while also volunteering with Keeping Hope Alive and Meals on Wheels. Through triathlon, I not only test my limits but also use the sport as a platform to inspire change and contribute to the community.

The Book I Wish I Had When I Began My Sales Engineering Journey
Over the years, I’ve noticed a clear gap in resources for Sales Engineers—while plenty of books cover sales or technology, few truly address the intersection where Sales Engineers operate. Even fewer speak to the unique realities of the Asia-Pacific region, where cultural differences, language barriers, and time zones make the role even more complex. When I began my career, there was little guidance available, and stepping into a regional role felt like navigating uncharted territory. Many new Sales Engineers face the same challenge—needing to master technology while learning to speak the language of business and build trust with both customers and sales teams. For managers, the task becomes even tougher, as leading diverse teams across APAC often introduces cultural hurdles that can cost great talent if mishandled. This book is my way of bridging that gap—a practical, experience-driven playbook shaped by decades in the field as both a Sales Engineer and a Sales Engineering Manager. It’s the guide I wish I had when I first started my journey.
