
Why did I decide to write this, and why now?
Over the years, I’ve met so many brilliant Sales Engineers across Asia—talented, driven individuals who often find themselves navigating complex markets with little guidance. When I first started, there were countless books about sales, and many about technology—but almost none that spoke to the Sales Engineer, the person who stands right at the intersection of both.
When I took on my first regional role, I quickly realized how different things were across APAC—different cultures, time zones, communication styles, and customer expectations. I learned many lessons the hard way, and I often wished there was a guide to help shorten that learning curve. So, I decided to write the book I wish I had when I started—one built from experience, stories, and lessons from the field.
